Marketoonist’s cartoon rides on the concept of productivity in managerialism. Since the 1990s the neo-liberal economy contain a noble motivation of group meetings to allow open participation of service workers in the managing of their work space, but in actuality it was the activities of an older paradigm, known as groupthink: a restrictive form of thought which is bounded by the directed agenda, set for the group.

In the cartoon there is the idea that A.I. may bring a fightback moment. Carol is reclaiming her space by not conforming to the work groupthink. However, in doing so, Carol has surrendered her decision-making to the machine. Carol has her independent space but at the cost of being disconnected to the larger work environment, and the persons so contained.
