On 4 August 1845, The ship Cataraqui is wrecked off the coast of Tasmania, the 406 people on board drown.
On Friday, 4 August 1995, Croatian forces, with the cooperation of the ARBiH, launch Operation Storm against rebel Republic of Serbian Krajina forces, which subsequently ceases to exist as a political entity.
