NOTATIONS
* An incantation, a spell, a charm, an enchantment or a bewitchery, is a magical formula intended to trigger a magical effect on a person or objects. Satire is a genre of the visual, literary, and performing arts, usually in the form of fiction and less frequently non-fiction, in which vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, often with the intent of shaming or exposing the perceived flaws of individuals, corporations, government, or society itself into improvement. These days one has to make clear when one is writing satirically, or else it will be taken as ‘gospel’.
[i] Humanly devised structures of rules and norms that shape and constrain individual behaviour.
[ii] The qualities (such as sadness or beauty) that linger in the memory, not easily forgotten; a haunting melody or haunting images.
