What I will miss the most about Ruth is the way she was so empathetic.  She seemed to always know the exact right thing to say…. She was very encouraging of me pursuing my own career in counselling.

I very much enjoyed having conversations with her over the years, about topics such as parenting, favourite books, and favourite movies/television shows.

After we moved away from Australia in 2000, I very much enjoyed visiting every year or two. There were a number of times when I visited Ruth and family during their stay in Melbourne.  She was always willing to take me to historic houses, knowing how much I love to visit old houses.

In recent years, we had some enjoyable times with Neville and Ruth, holidaying in Burleigh Heads one year and in Noosa another year.

The world needs more people like you, dear Ruth….
