Apparently, it is a crime to teach liberal studies…in the United States. I did warn you. I warned you through discussing the work of Dr Michael Macklin on Ivan Illich’s theories and practice of schooling. The Right have flipped the semantics of Illich’s argument, making it a target called, “Left school indoctrination”. The wider educationalist literature on educationalist theory and practice agree that the Trumpian claims are terribly incorrect (Aronowitz, Stanley and Henry A. Giroux 1985 and 1991, Giroux 1981, 1983). Traditional conservatives, liberals, and radicals, all agreed that the Trumpian view of education is bullshit (Frankfurt 2014, Wakeham 2017; Graeber 2018).
