From a voice on Quora:
In defense of Americans, if they want to see mountains, they have mountains. If they want to see a lake, or the ocean, or the desert, or a tropical island, or even the arctic? They have all of it. All without having to convert currency or learn another language or get a passport. Then of course, you have the lifetime of propaganda telling them that America is #1, so why learn about anywhere else? Learning sounds like school, and who likes that? …It all adds up to “the propaganda is right and America is #1 and I don’t have time or energy to find out differently until I retire” which really is sad for them.
