Abstract:

One kind of production is community and class. Another kind of production is books, but that is becoming rarer with the decline of a reading public; if not overall, then most certainly on the challenging side of reading. Production is usually seen as retail. Thus, it is retail governance which shapes the public understanding of production. Furthermore, hyper-competition between retail outlets cements public understanding of production. This is called commercialisation and it is a false narrative in relation to an intelligent worldview.
