When I’m Sixty Four (Release date: 01 June 1967) was written by Paul McCartney. It is said to be one of the first songs McCartney wrote; he was about 14, probably in April or May 1956. In which case, McCartney was premature by 50 years, sometime in 2006. At that time he was as I am, a widower aged 64 and a professional. The only difference was the Paul was much more appreciated as a professional, and rightly so. Paul lost the love of his life, Linda Eastman (m. 1969; died 1998). For me, it was Ruth Lohmann (m. 1988; died 2016).
