This article is not self-promotion but an intellectual plea. This article is not advertising nor marketing, but the Most Intelligent Plea of Intelligent Pleas. It is Plea for Compassionate and Intelligent Action; for fair paid work. It is an expression of one of the best set of insights from the global cognition histories and sociology field.

Highlights in the article:

  1. There should never be any question of my performance for me (Dr Buch) to be contracted (short-term) or employed (long-term);
  2. My CV includes the leading articles, book chapters in fields of learning that the Queensland and Australian governments have failed to support financially;
  3. The weakening of the Australian history industry has been known for decades (Peel and Zion 1991; Ashton and Hamilton 2022). It is an open secret among the Australian public;
  4. There is a pattern of Australian universities following the pattern of universities in the colonial-thinking of “darkest Africa” (Kamola 2014; Sehoole and Adyemo 2016);
  5. Australia needs to Contract or Employ the best Global Thinkers. The pattern of academic work in Australia at universities is hypo-specialisation;
  6. Again, again, Australia needs to Contract or Employ the best Global Thinkers. But universities and governments are not doing this;
  7. Universities are not good at “Global Expressivism” with academic specialisation narrowing down the conversation with only a few members of the public;
  8. The issue is not merely employment or contracting in the universities. This issue is that public organisations follow the university’s lead in reducing industry capacity to produce the best work;
  9. Among the public, voluntarism has been taught as a civil religion (Adams 1987);
  10. The foolish politicians make such decisions as a matter of habit, unwilling to take criticism to certain economy theories which are proving, daily, to be hollow;
  11. The Money is there: it has only to be released from twisted-thinking priorities. Public opinion is part of the problem when thinking is run on fear;
  12. Out of it all, the reason why to contract or employ Dr Neville Buch (paid) is that he would deliver the best in Global Public Goods (Carbone 2007; Augenstein 2016).
