I understand your reasoning for not having a slot for me on 16th May. I am not troubled, but I am, of course, disappointed. We might suggest that another conference is in order.  Below is a new paper that highlights what goes wrong in evangelical organisations when persons do not liberalise their thinking. I understand that this is the scope of an advanced workshop. Fair enough. Given the current climate of Trumpian propaganda, an advanced workshop covering Anglo-American and Continental Sociology and Philosophy, Education, Conservative Thought, Islam, and self-reflecting Evangelical Thought is necessary.

Liberating Conservative Thought

Abstract

This expanded analysis of “Liberating Conservative Thought” investigates the recursive tension within Australian evangelicalism between ideological stagnation and humanistic ascent. By utilizing Dr. Neville Buch’s Dynamic of Cognition (DoC), this essay identifies the specific social harms generated by conservative evangelicalism in Queensland history—ranging from the suppression of educational pluralism to the marginalization of vulnerable communities during the AIDS crisis. These instances of “intellectual wounds” serve as compelling rationales for the liberalization of evangelical faith. True liberation is framed not as an abandonment of the Gospel, but as a move toward philosophical compatibility and reflective self-criticism, reclaiming human authorship over narratives previously liquidated by a narrow “techné mindset.”
